CBSE Class 10th Phase 2 Exam Time Table: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the datesheet for the Class 10th Phase 2 exams in 2026. According to the CBSE board, the second phase of exams will begin on May 15. Importantly, only those students who took the first phase of exams will be eligible to appear for the Phase 2 exams. 

According to the datesheet released by the board, the Mathematics (Standard/Basic) exam will be held on May 15th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The English exam will be held on May 16th.

When will the exams start? 

According to information released by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), the second Class 10 board exam, or Phase 2, will begin on May 15, 2026. This exam is an additional opportunity for students who wish to improve their scores on their first board exam or who, for some reason, were unable to perform well. This entire exam phase will conclude on May 21, 2026, with exams for different subjects being held on the scheduled dates. 

What will be the exam time? 

Exams for most subjects will begin at 10:30 am and continue until 1:30 pm, although some specific subjects will have exam times from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Students are advised to carefully review their exam datesheets to ensure they arrive at the exam center on time for their respective subjects and avoid any inconvenience. 

Second Board Complete Exam Schedule

1. May 15, 2026 – The first day will be a Mathematics exam. This will include both Standard and Basic papers.

2. May 16, 2026 – The English exam will be held on this day. This includes both English Communicative and English Language & Literature.

3. May 18, 2026 – On the third day, students will have their science exam.

4. May 19, 2026 – Language exams will be held. Several languages ​​will be tested on this day, including Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, and other regional languages.

5. May 20, 2026 – On this day, exams will be held for various skill and optional subjects, such as Sanskrit, IT (Information Technology), Artificial Intelligence, Painting, Home Science and other subjects.

6. 21 May 2026 –   Social Science exam will be held on the last day and with this the Phase 2 exam will end. 

Which students can appear for the second board exam?

The CBSE Second Board Exam 2026 is for students who took the first stage exam and now wish to improve their performance. This primarily includes students who wish to improve their marks. Additionally, students who received a compartment in any subject in the first stage or who already fall in the compartment category can also appear for this exam. Additionally, students who did not appear in three or more subjects in the first stage will not be eligible for this exam.
