Details of the incident and police investigation
According to Hamilton Police, the incident took place around 7:30 pm. When the police reached the spot after receiving information, they saw that Harsimrat Randhawa was lying unconscious and had a bullet wound in her chest. She was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Police examined the nearby CCTV footage, which showed a black car, in which a person sitting in it shot Harsimrat and fled from the spot. There is no information about anyone else being injured in this incident, but the police is investigating the matter seriously.

The Indian Embassy informed through social media that it is in touch with Harsimrat’s family and all the needs of her family are being taken care of. The embassy said that it is with the family in this difficult time and is providing them full support.
