Kangana Ranaut was born in a prestigious family of Himachal Pradesh. Her grandfather was an IAS officer and father a businessman. But Kangana was less interested in studies and more in films from the very beginning. When she was only 15 years old, she had decided that she wanted to make a name for herself in the film world. While studying at DAV School, she reached Chandigarh where she participated in modeling and fashion events. She worked hard here but did not get recognition.
City of dreams Mumbai and initial struggle
After failing in Chandigarh, Kangana Ranaut reached Mumbai chasing her dreams. She was only 19 years old then. Here she gave many auditions to get work in films. She also tried her hand in the world of modeling but success was far away. After struggling for many years, her luck turned when she met director Anurag Basu at a party. This meeting proved to be the biggest start of her career.
This evening I drove to my parents house as my grandfather Shri Braham Chand Ranaut wasn’t keeping well for past few months, just when I reached home he had already passed away.
He was 90 years old still had an impeccable sense of humour and we all called him Daddy. OM Shanti 🙏 pic.twitter.com/rbD14T6CCD— Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) December 14, 2020
