The doors of Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand have been opened for devotees today. On this occasion, the temple was decorated with flowers and devotees worshiped Lord Badrivishal. The rain of flowers created a wonderful scene in the courtyard of the temple. After the opening of the doors, the devotees received blessings from the Lord. The Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the holiest places in Hinduism. With the opening of the doors, the Chardham Yatra has started in full swing. It is worth noting that the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath Dham have already been opened and now the doors of Badrinath Dham have also been opened for devotees.
Opening of the temple and importance of the journey
Badrinath Dham, which is considered to be the abode of Lord Vishnu, is called the ‘Vaikuntha’ of the earth. This holy place is located between the Nar and Narayan mountains and is located on the left bank of the Alaknanda River. The temple is open to devotees from May to November. This time is the most suitable time for Badrinath Dham Yatra. In winter, when the doors of the temple are closed, Lord Badrinath is worshiped in the Narsingh Temple of Joshimath. During these six months, the lamp lit in the temple is kept burning continuously.
Start of Chardham Yatra
Chardham Yatra is a journey to the most important pilgrimage sites of Hinduism. Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham come in this journey. This year, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham were opened on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. After this, the doors of Baba Kedarnath were also opened on May 2. And now today, on May 3, the doors of Badrinath Dham have been opened for the devotees, due to which the Chardham Yatra has started completely. Every year lakhs of devotees come to visit the Lord in this Yatra.

Religious belief and importance of the temple
Lord Vishnu is worshipped in Badrinath Dham with a Chaturbhuj (four-armed) idol made of Shaligram. According to religious beliefs, this place has been the Tapobhoomi of Lord Vishnu’s Nar-Narayan form. This place is considered very sacred from the religious point of view. There is also a famous saying, “Jo jaaye Badri, wo na aaye Odri,” that is, the person who worships in Badrinath Dham with devotion does not have to be born again. This journey is considered one of the most sacred experiences of life and people do it with great devotion.
Special preparations for Chardham Yatra
The government has made special preparations for the Chardham Yatra. Traffic arrangements have been taken care of for the convenience of the passengers. Every year lakhs of devotees come on this journey and hence special attention is given to the security arrangements and facilities of the passengers on the travel routes. Apart from this, with the increase in the number of tourists in each Dham, special arrangements are made by the administration so that the journey is completely safe and convenient.
