Drug smuggling is a matter of concern for the state and the country
The ever-increasing smuggling of heroin and other narcotics in Mizoram has become a matter of great concern for the state and the country. Being adjacent to the Myanmar border, Mizoram is becoming a major transit point for drugs. Assam Rifles have seized large consignments several times in recent years and arrested several accused. They have not only increased their activity to stop smuggling but have also intensified the campaign to catch the mastermind of smuggling.
