What is the marking scheme?
First, let us inform you that the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will consist of two papers. Regarding negative marking and the marking scheme, you can understand them through the points given below.
Paper-1
- Paper 1 will be conducted in two sessions. The paper will be divided into three sections (Section 1, Section 2, Section 3).
- Section 1 (Session 1) will have a total of 60 questions, carrying a total of 180 marks. Each question will carry 3 marks.
- Section 2 (Session 1) will consist of 70 questions, carrying a total of 210 marks. Each question will carry 3 marks.
- Section 3 (Session 1) will have 20 questions carrying a total of 60 marks.
- Section 4 (Session 2) Data Entry Speed Test
Paper 2
- Paper 2 will be on Statistics.
- There will be a total of 100 questions in this.
- The paper will be of total 200 marks.
- Each question will be of 2 marks.
Negative Marking
The answer to this question is yes. According to the official notification, there will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Sections I, II, and III of Paper I, and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper II.
