A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Guwahati where a 10-year-old child was brutally murdered and his body was thrown in the bushes after being locked in a suitcase. This incident is being reported near the Basishtha temple in Guwahati. The police revealed this case on Sunday. According to the information, the child’s mother had lodged a missing complaint of her son on Saturday and told that he had not returned home from tuition.
Child’s body found in suitcase
Police investigation revealed that the child was murdered by his mother’s lover. Guwahati Police East Deputy Commissioner Mrinal Deka told PTI that when the complaint was received, the police immediately started investigation. A suitcase was recovered in the bushes near the Basishtha temple. When the police opened it, the child’s body was found in it. Seeing the condition of the body, it was clear that after killing him, he was stuffed in a suitcase and thrown there.
Lover confessed the crime
According to the police, when the child’s mother’s lover was questioned, he confessed his crime. The accused himself led the police to the place where he had dumped the body. The police have arrested the accused and the child’s mother has also been detained for questioning. The police believe that the mother may also have a role in this case, which is being investigated in depth.
Forensic team and CID engaged in investigation
The forensic team and the CID team have reached the spot and collected evidence. The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem which will be done on Monday. Police officials say that the real reason for the murder and the role of all the people involved in it are being investigated. This case is now shaking the people of Assam and the painful death of the child has made everyone emotional.
