Riteish Genelia Reels: Bollywood’s favorite couple, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, recently appeared on tennis star Sania Mirza’s podcast, “Serving with Sania.” During the conversation, Sania asked Riteish a question that every social media user can relate to: How do they balance their real life and their social media presence, given the fun version of their relationship they portray on Instagram?
The Reels Journey Began During Covid
Riteish explained that it all started during the COVID-19 pandemic. He made some TikTok videos that suddenly went viral. People told him that his videos gave them a reason to laugh during that difficult time. Genelia, laughing, confessed that initially, she didn’t like it at all and often complained that he was always glued to his phone.
When Genelia Joined In
Riteish further explained that gradually, Genelia also started participating in the videos, and then they began making couple reels together. One video led to another, and they realized how much people were enjoying these reels. Riteish said that even today, people meet them and complain that they haven’t posted a new reel in a long time.
Unplanned Reels and Millions of Views
During the conversation, Sania jokingly remarked that the reels that are most carefully planned are often the ones that flop. Both Riteish and Genelia agreed. Riteish shared that he recently posted a reel without much thought because he didn’t have time, and that reel garnered nearly 220 million views. They believe that the biggest strength of their reels is that they are natural and fun; most of them are even shot in boxer shorts and a T-shirt.
The Popularity of Reels and the Film Industry
Riteish also laughingly said that now, people often tell him, “It was so nice to see you,” and when he asks which film they saw, the reply is, “Not a film, we saw your reels!” Ritesh jokingly said that it would be truly amazing if so many people actually went to the theaters to watch his films. He will soon be seen in his big historical film ‘Raja Shivaji’, which he is also directing. Besides this, he will also appear in comedy films like ‘Masti 4’, ‘Dhamaal 4′, and ‘Housefull 5’.
