New wave of women empowerment in Assam, Shivraj Singh praised SHG

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised the self-help groups working under the Aajeevika Mission in Nagaon, Assam. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the work of this mission is going on very well in Assam. Chouhan said that lakhs of sisters are becoming self-reliant by joining this mission and their economic empowerment is happening rapidly. He praised the hard work and dedication of these women and said that this mission is bringing change in the villages.

Paid tribute to women working in tea gardens

Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the Hatikhuli tea garden located in Bokakhat in Golaghat district of Assam. He talked to the women working here and also felt their hard work by working with them. He said that the sweat and dedication of these women is involved in preparing each leaf of tea, whose fragrance reaches the country and the world. Sharing pictures on social media, Chouhan wrote that the greenery of tea gardens pleases the mind but it is very difficult to work here. He also said that the government will make every possible effort for the smile and stable life of these sisters.

Agriculture and animal husbandry education gets new identity in Mizoram

As part of his Northeast visit, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on May 15 virtually inaugurated the new academic and administrative building of Horticulture College in Thenzawl, Mizoram and the new PG Girls Hostel of Veterinary Science College in Selsih. Due to bad weather, he could not be present in person but he addressed the students and teachers through online medium. On this occasion, Mizoram Governor General Dr. VK Singh participated virtually and Chief Minister Lalduhoma participated in person.

Mizoram will get a new dimension in the field of agriculture

The Union Minister described Mizoram as a geographically beautiful and diverse state. He said that the climate and fertile land here is suitable for horticulture, although due to the hilly land and deep valleys here, farming on a large scale is challenging. Still, the government’s schemes are making continuous efforts to strengthen the farmers and agricultural workers. He expressed confidence that both these colleges will further strengthen agriculture in future by providing technical and professional support to the farmers of Mizoram.
