Important news for candidates who need to make corrections to their GATE 2026 application: the correction deadline has been extended. This information has been shared on the official website. Therefore, interested candidates who have not yet been able to make corrections to their forms can now do so until November 10th. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to make corrections to their application form.

How to Apply for GATE 2026
- First, candidates should visit the official IIT GATE website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
- Afterward, log in to their account and your application form will be displayed.
- Afterward, review the application form and make changes as needed.
- After completing the application, click Submit.
- Download the confirmation page and retain a hard copy for further reference.
The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2025. All GATE 2026 papers will be three hours long (four hours for candidates with compensatory time), consisting of 65 questions worth a total of 100 marks. The exam will automatically end when the allotted time is over.
The admit card will be issued in January 2026. The admit card will only be valid if the candidate’s photograph and signature are clear. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official IIT GATE website for the latest updates.
