The results for the JEE Main 2026 January session were declared on February 16. This year, a total of 12 students scored 100 percentile. These include Shreyas Mishra from Delhi-NCR, Narendrababu Gari Mahit from Andhra Pradesh, Shubham Kumar from Bihar, Kabir Chhillar from Rajasthan, Chiranjib Kar from Rajasthan, Bhavesh Patra from Odisha, Anay Jain from Haryana, Arnav Gautam from Rajasthan, Pasla Mohit from Andhra Pradesh, Madhav Viradia from Maharashtra, Purohit Nimay from Gujarat, and Vivaan Sharad Maheshwari from Telangana. Success stories of toppers
Kabir Chillar
Kabir Chhillar from Rajasthan credited his success to methodical preparation and subsequent guidance from his coaching institute. “Instead of memorizing, I focused on understanding concepts in depth,” the topper said. “I divided each topic into smaller chunks, made short notes, and revised regularly. I also worked especially on time management and accuracy.”
A few days before the exam, Kabir strengthened his preparation through constant revision and mock tests. He said, “Analyzing my mistakes was very important for me. This helped me improve my performance after each test.” Kabir is now focused on his JEE Advanced preparation to achieve a good rank to fulfill his dream of studying computer science at IIT Bombay.
Arnab
Topper Arnav Gautam believes that if one sets a goal and works hard to achieve it, everything is possible. Arnav, a resident of Arogya Nagar, Kota, said, “I believe self-study is important, but coaching support is also essential for proper guidance. When preparing for an exam like JEE, it is very important to have doubts resolved immediately, which is possible only with the guidance of faculty. I always had a goal in mind that I had to achieve.”
Explaining his exam day strategy, the topper said, “I solved the Chemistry paper first, then the Physics paper, and finally the Math paper. My time management was perfect, allowing me to review the entire paper in the remaining time.” Arnav’s next goal is to score a good rank in the JEE Advanced and pursue a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. The topper spends his free time playing cricket.
Shubham Kumar
Shubham Kumar from Bihar said, “This success is the result of hard work, discipline, and the guidance of my teachers.” Explaining his strategy, Shubham said, “I credit my success to the guidance of my faculty, regular practice, and the support of my family. The biggest reason is my teachers. I always listened to them carefully and studied according to their instructions.”
The topper said, “I revised the topics taught in class that day and practiced questions regularly. I especially focused on my weak areas. Although there was pressure at times, I turned it into motivation. I remained focused on my goal and maintained my confidence.” Shubham is now focusing on preparing for JEE Advanced, where he aims to pursue a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay.
Nimay Purohit
Nimay, a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat, said, “This is a very happy and proud moment for me. When I saw my results, I could not believe that I had scored 100 percentile. This is the result of my hard work, continuous practice and right guidance.”
The topper said, “The biggest reason for my success has been regular study and clarity of concepts. I always try to understand every topic in depth and not just memorize it. I spent about 6 to 8 hours daily on self-study. I revised everything taught in class that day.”
A few days before the exam, the topper focused on practicing mock tests. “I analyzed my mistakes after each test and focused on correcting them,” he said.
Chiranjib
Chiranjib Kar, a resident of Odisha, credits his success to the guidance of his coaching institute, regular study, a disciplined routine, and consistent practice. “Regular study, a deep understanding of concepts, consistent practice, and proper time management are essential for success in an exam like JEE Main,” the topper said.
Chiranjib maintained a positive mindset and focused on his goals throughout his preparation. The topper said that regular revision, analysis of mock tests, and special attention to weak areas helped him continuously improve his performance.
Anay Jain
Anay Jain, a resident of Faridabad, credited his success in JEE Main to faculty guidance, regular testing and self-study. Anay said, “My main focus was on the JEE Advanced exam, and I started preparing for the JEE Main exam a few days before the exam. I self-studyed for more than 12 hours every day and while preparing for JEE Main, I especially practiced previous year question papers and focused on NCERT books for Chemistry and Physics. I chose ALLEN study material which was useful for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced, which helped me achieve good scores.”
His next goal is to get a good rank in JEE Advanced exam and do B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi.
Bhavesh
Bhavesh Patra, a resident of Odisha, said that during his preparation, he primarily focused on strengthening his concepts. He attended classes regularly and thoroughly studied the assignments and study materials provided by the coaching institute. “I believe that taking regular tests helps identify weaknesses and provides an opportunity to improve them,” the topper said.
