IOB Recruitment 2025: There is good news for the candidates dreaming of a government job. Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has released a big recruitment for the posts of Specialist Officer (SO). The application process for a total of 127 posts has started from 12 September 2025 and interested candidates can apply online till 3 October 2025. Applications will be accepted only on the official website of the bank iob.in. Through this recruitment, the bank aims to give a chance to qualified and talented youth who want to make a career in the banking sector.
Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria
This recruitment includes many types of posts and different educational qualifications have been fixed for each post. The good thing is that candidates having degrees like Graduation, B.Arch, B.Tech/BE, M.Sc, ME/M.Tech, MBA/PGDM, MCA or PGDBA are eligible to apply. Candidates are advised to read the detailed recruitment notification issued by the bank carefully before applying, so that they can get the correct information about the qualifications, conditions and posts.
Application fee and pay scale
The application fee in the recruitment process has also been fixed according to the category. The fee for General, OBC, EWS category candidates has been kept at ₹ 1000 (including GST). At the same time, SC, ST and PWD candidates will have to pay a fee of only ₹ 175 (including GST). The fee can be paid only through online mode, such as debit card, credit card, internet banking or UPI.
Talking about the pay scale –
- MMGS-II (Middle Management Grade Scale-II): Salary starts from ₹ 64,820 and can go up to ₹ 93,960 with experience and promotion.
- MMGS-III (Middle Management Grade Scale-III): Salary starts from ₹ 85,920 and can reach a maximum of ₹ 1,05,280. Apart from this, allowances and other facilities will also be available as per the policies of the bank.
Selection process and mode of application
Candidates will be selected on the basis of online examination and interview. First of all, all the eligible candidates will have to take the online exam, after which the successful candidates will be called for interview. However, just fulfilling the eligibility does not guarantee that every candidate will be called for examination or interview.
