ICAI Exam Update: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination, Group II, Paper 5 (Auditing and Ethics). In this regard, an official notice has also been issued. The announcement is available for candidates to view on the official website. This exam was previously set for January 15th. By following the instructions listed below, candidates can also review the notice.
According to the official notice issued, the examination that was previously scheduled for January 15, 2026 (Thursday) has now been rescheduled to January 19, 2026 (Monday). This change has been made due to the general elections of municipal corporations in the state of Maharashtra on January 15, 2026.

Admit Card
ICAI has clarified that the admit cards already issued will remain valid for the rescheduled examination date. Candidates do not need to download a new admit card for the January 19th examination. It should be noted that there are no changes to the dates of other examinations; they remain unchanged.
The Institute has clearly stated that there are no changes to the schedule of any other papers of the Chartered Accountants examinations announced earlier. All other examinations under the January 2026 session will be conducted according to the existing timetable. CA Intermediate January 2026 Schedule

- CA Intermediate Group I Exams: January 6, 8, and 10, 2026
- CA Intermediate Group II Exams: January 12, 15, and 17, 2026
- Only the date for Paper 5 of Group II has been changed, which was previously scheduled for January 15th. It has now been
