IBPS Clerk 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has made a major revision in the number of vacancies for the Customer Service Associate (Clerk) recruitment 2025. According to the earlier notification, a total of 10,270 positions were to be filled, but now this has been increased to 13,533. This means that thousands more candidates will now have the opportunity to get a job in a government bank. IBPS has released the revised vacancy list on its official website, ibps.in. The institute has also clarified that these vacancies are indicative and tentative, and the final allotment will be based on the actual vacancies provided by the participating banks.
Detailed State-wise Vacancies Released
IBPS has also shared updated vacancy information for all states. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vacancies, with a total of 2,346 vacancies. Following this, recruitment will be done for 1,248 posts in Karnataka, 1,161 in Tamil Nadu, and 1,144 in Maharashtra. West Bengal has announced 992 posts, Gujarat 860, and Madhya Pradesh 755. Some smaller states and union territories also have limited vacancies, such as Ladakh and Lakshadweep, with 7 each, while Chandigarh has only 13 posts. Assam has 373, Bihar 748, Rajasthan 394, and Delhi 279. These increased vacancies will not only provide opportunities for local candidates but will also open up new opportunities in the banking sector across the country.
IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2025 to be Released Soon
The institute has also informed that the results of the IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2025 will be released soon. Candidates who took the exam will be able to download the results on the website ibps.in using their roll number and password. The preliminary examination was held on October 4, 5, and 11, 2025, at various examination centers across the country. The exam level is described as moderate, and objective questions carrying 100 marks were asked. The total duration was 1 hour, and the candidates’ English language, numerical ability, and reasoning ability were tested.
