According to reports, an Air Force Sukhoi fighter jet crashed in the Karbi Anglong area of Assam, about 60 kilometers from Jorhat. Army and police teams are conducting a search operation in the area. Locals claim to have seen a plane flying in the sky, which then descended and crashed. They also claim to have heard a loud noise after the crash.
