Hyderabad Fire: A massive fire broke out in a building near Charminar near Gulzar House in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. So far 17 people have died in this accident. On receiving information about the fire, fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot and rescue work was started. The fire was so fierce that many people fainted and were admitted to the hospital. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the incident and directed senior officials to take every necessary step to rescue the trapped people.

Prime Minister Modi expressed grief and announced compensation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep condolences over this tragic incident. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased through a tweet and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The PM announced that Rs 2 lakh will be given to the family of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured as compensation from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. This will provide financial assistance to the affected families and they will be able to feel some relief in this hour of grief.

Children also among the dead

A fire department official said that the fire broke out around 6:30 am. On reaching the spot, many people were found unconscious, whose treatment was started immediately. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that the police have confirmed eight deaths in the fire, but the official number will be announced only after investigation. Some children are also among the dead in this incident. An MLA of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen said that about 20 people are admitted in the hospital and their treatment is going on.

Bodies kept in different hospitals

According to the official information of the Chief Minister’s Office, the bodies of the deceased have been kept in various hospitals in Hyderabad. 8 bodies have been kept in Yashoda Malakpet Hospital, 5 bodies in Apollo Hyderguda, 2 bodies in Apollo DRDL, 1 body in Osmania General Hospital and 1 body in Care Nampally Hospital. Officials have ordered to immediately take the injured to the hospital and ensure better treatment. Relief work is continuing and the administration is trying its best to minimize the damage caused by the fire.
