Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived at Vindhyachal, the temple of Goddess Vindhyavasini, in Mirzapur on Monday night. He performed the ritualistic worship at the temple. He earlier flew to Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport and, after paying obeisance to Baba Vishwanath, arrived in Mirzapur.
Fierce Attack on the Opposition
After the darshan and puja, Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a scathing attack on the opposition. He said that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is mentally ill and his mental condition is not good. He should go to a good hospital for treatment. Regarding the Maharashtra Congress President’s statement that Tipu Sultan and Shivaji Maharaj should be given equal rights, Sarma said that such statements do not matter to anyone. Shivaji Maharaj will remain in the same position as Shivaji Maharaj, and Tipu Sultan was a perpetrator of atrocities against Hindus. One was a protector of Hindus, the other a destroyer of Hindus; how can there be equality between the two?

Regarding infiltration in Assam, Chief Minister Sarma said that the situation in Assam is very critical. Currently, the Muslim population in Assam is around 40%, of which 3-4% are Indian, and the rest are Bangladeshi infiltrators. He stated that he expels approximately 100 to 150 Bangladeshis from Assam every day. He stated that he has liberated 50,000 acres of land from Bangladeshis, and approximately 150,000 acres more remain to be cleared.
Regarding the Assam Congress state president’s resignation and withdrawal, he stated that he has been invited to return home. “If he had withdrawn his resignation, he would not have invited me back home. I want him to join the BJP. He is the only Hindu leader in the Assam Congress. I want him to support us and join the BJP. I will meet him when he returns home, and it is possible that he will join the BJP.”
