There was chaos in the Guwahati High Court premises when a bomb threat was received through an email. As soon as this message came out, there was a stampede-like situation in the entire court premises. Security agencies immediately swung into action and a search operation was started in the High Court. A senior police officer told news agency PTI-Bhasha that as soon as the email was received, our team reached the spot without delay. Specialists are investigating every corner but nothing suspicious has been found so far. The officer said that at present this threat is being considered a rumor but it would be premature to say anything until the investigation is completed.
An organization named ‘Madras Tigers’ sent a threatening email
Police investigation revealed that this threat was sent in the name of an unknown organization ‘Madras Tigers’. It was said in the threat that the entire building of the High Court would be blown up with a bomb. A senior officer of the court administration said that as soon as the police got the information, they immediately reached the spot and started a search operation. Meanwhile, the court’s work continued as usual. Officials say that all the judges are hearing the case as per their scheduled time table and there is an atmosphere of fear among the employees but the work has not been disrupted.

Ram temple also received threat
It is worth noting that some time before this incident, Ram temple in Ayodhya also received a threat of bombing. This threat was also given through email which was sent to the official email of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. Trust’s account officer Mahesh Kumar has lodged an FIR in this regard at the cyber police station. As soon as the threat was received, Ayodhya police came into action and an intensive search operation was carried out in the Ram temple premises. Along with this, security has also been increased in Barabanki and surrounding districts including Ayodhya.
Police on alert, investigation continues
In both Guwahati and Ayodhya cases, the police is fully alert and investigation is going on. Both the threats have been given on the same pattern, so the investigating agencies are also looking into it. Although no solid or explosive material has been found in any of the threats so far, but as a precaution, no risk is being taken. Bomb squads, dog squads and anti-terror units have been deployed at both places. The police believe that such threats may be a conspiracy to create an atmosphere of fear.
