Gauhati University has released the official notification on 19 June 2025, which gives information about the Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET-2025) for admission to B.Ed course. This exam will be held on 20 July 2025 (Sunday). Candidates who wish to take admission in B.Ed course in the 2025-26 session can apply online through the official portal of the university from 25 June to 7 July 2025.
Eligibility and application fee information
To appear in GUBEDCET 2025, candidates must have a degree from a recognized university such as BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, or MCom. A minimum of 50% marks are required for the general category while SC, ST, OBC and PWD category candidates are given a relaxation of 45% marks. The application fee is ₹2000/-, which is mandatory to be paid through online mode (debit/credit card or internet banking).
Exam Pattern and Center
This exam will be an OMR based written test consisting of a total of 100 multiple choice questions. The paper will be of 400 marks and candidates will get 120 minutes to solve it. The question paper will contain questions from General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and Teaching Aptitude subjects. The exam centers have been set up in 14 major cities of Assam, including Guwahati, Tezpur, Dibrugarh, Nalbari, Mangaldai, and Bongaigaon.

- Register and create an account
- Login and fill the application form
- Upload the required documents like passport size photo and signature
- Pay the application fee
- Submit the form and get the acknowledgment.
Applicants are advised to fill all the information correctly and keep the required documents ready before time.
Admit Card and Merit List
From July 14, 2025, candidates will be able to download the admit card using their login credentials. The exam will be held on July 20 and the merit list will be released on August 1, 2025. Candidates who will be successful in this exam will get a chance to participate in the further process for admission in various B.Ed colleges.
