There’s good news for candidates interested in applying for GATE 2026. The ongoing application process (without late fees) for GATE 2026 will soon be closed. Interested candidates who have not yet applied for any reason should do so as soon as possible by visiting the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
Once the late fee application window closes, candidates can apply for IIT GATE 2026 with a late fee until October 9, 2025. Candidates can fill out their application form using the steps below or the direct link provided.
GATE 2026: When will the application process close?
The last date to apply for GATE 2026 (without late fees) is October 6, 2025. Interested candidates should apply by this date or before.

- First, candidates should visit the official website.
- Next, candidates should click on the relevant link on the homepage.
- Then, candidates should register themselves.
- After completing the registration process, candidates should fill out their form.
- Then, candidates should submit their form.
- After submitting the form, download the candidate confirmation page.
- Finally, candidates should take a printout.
Application Fee
The application fee for Women/SC/ST/PWD* candidates is ₹1000/- (per test paper) and for all other candidates, including foreign nationals, the application fee is ₹2000/- (per test paper). The fee must be paid online.
