Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi has released important information regarding admissions for the new academic session 2026-27. Admissions to several undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses at Jamia will now be conducted through CUET (Common University Entrance Test). A notable aspect this year is the university’s emphasis on language and literature courses.
Admissions through CUET
According to the Jamia administration, there will be no separate entrance examination for the courses included under CUET. Students will have to appear for the CUET exam, and a merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained. The counseling and seat allocation process will then be completed through the university’s official website.
Special Focus on Language Courses
This year, Jamia Millia Islamia has placed special emphasis on language and literature courses. The university now offers students the opportunity to study several languages, including French, Spanish, Turkish, Korean, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Hindi. Students can pursue courses such as BA Honours, MA, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma in these languages.
