Crime News: A sensational firing incident in Kadi Vihar of Swaroop Nagar police station area of Delhi on Wednesday evening created a stir in the entire area. Here a young man entered his friend’s house and fired bullets indiscriminately. In this attack, the house owner Ashok died on the spot while his wife Rachna was seriously injured. The people around got terrified on hearing the gunshot and immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. Rachna’s condition is still said to be critical.
The matter worsened due to money transaction
Initial investigation by the police has revealed that there was a dispute over money transaction behind this incident. The main accused Golu is an old friend of deceased Ashok’s son Sandeep. Earlier both of them were good friends but for some time the distance between them had increased. Police suspect that due to the rivalry over money, Golu along with his three accomplices carried out this incident. Sandeep was not at home at the time of the incident, due to which it is believed that he was probably the real target of the attackers. Police is now investigating from this angle as well.
Evidence gathered on the spot, identification through CCTV
Swaroop Nagar police reached the spot and called the forensic team which collected empty cartridges and other evidence from the spot. Nearby CCTV footage is being scanned so that the accused can be identified. Police have registered a case of murder and attempted murder and raids are being conducted in search of Golu and his associates. DCP (North-West) said that police force has been deployed in view of the tension in the area.
Concern over increasing crimes in Delhi
This incident is again raising questions on the continuously increasing criminal incidents in Delhi. The incident of murder by breaking into the house in broad daylight has created an atmosphere of fear among the people. Local people say that the police should increase patrolling in the area so that such crimes can be stopped. Police have assured that the accused will be arrested soon and strict action will be taken against them. People of the area are now waiting for the investigation and action of the police.
