CBSE 2026 Exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 2026 Class 10 and 12 examinations from February 17. The board has released the tentative date sheet for the examinations, which can be viewed on the official website www.cbse.gov.in. This year, Class 10 examinations will be held in two phases, while Class 12 examinations will begin in a single phase in February. The first Class 10 examination will run from February 17 to March 9, while the second examination will be held from May 15 to June 1. Class 12 examinations will be held from February 17 to April 9, 2026. This year, approximately 4.5 million students from India and 26 other countries will appear for these examinations.
Evaluation Process and Timeline
The evaluation of CBSE Class 10 and 12 answer sheets will begin 10 days after the completion of each subject examination and will be completed within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is on February 20th, evaluation will begin on March 3rd and be completed by March 15th. Based on previous years’ experience, the Board has been declaring results within 50 to 60 days of the completion of exams. Last year, Class 10 exams ended on March 18th, and the results were declared on May 13th, a 56-day period. Similarly, in 2024, Class 10 results were released 60 days later, on May 13th.

Tentative Dates for 2026 Results
Last year, the Class 12 results were declared on May 13th, a 56-day period after the completion of exams. Consequently, this year’s results are also expected in April or May. As soon as the results are declared, students will be able to check them on the official websites: cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Students can easily access their results by entering their roll number and other details. The board has also clarified that in case of any delay or change in the declaration of results, information will be updated on the official website.

Millions of students and their parents appearing for the CBSE 2026 examinations should follow the datesheet and official instructions for exam preparation and planning. The board has already released exam centers, timings, and subject-wise datesheets. Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates and follow all exam-related rules. Furthermore, considering the evaluation and result system, students should pay special attention to time management and preparation to ensure success in the exams.
