Assam Politics: Congress MLA from Chaigaon assembly constituency Rakibuddin Ahmed has demanded the Indian government to take strict action against Pakistan. He openly supported Operation Sindoor and said that now the time has come for India to take back Pakistan Occupied Kashmir i.e. PoK. Ahmed said that Pakistan has been constantly trying to disturb the peace of India and even now it is doing the same with the secret support of China. He said that PoK belongs to India and India should now take decisive steps.
Reminded of Indira Gandhi’s era
While talking to the media Ahmed reminded of the time of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He said that Indira Gandhi had once taught Pakistan such a lesson that its army had to surrender to India. He said that today again the same kind of strong and decisive policy is needed so that Pakistan can be given a befitting reply. Ahmed said that India should give such a reply that teaches Pakistan a lesson forever.
Advised airstrike in Islamabad
Rakibuddin Ahmed even said that India should directly enter Islamabad and do airstrike. He said that the Indian Air Force should burn the residence of the Pakistani Prime Minister so that he feels the real pain. He said that India should now talk in the language of strength and decision and not in emotions. It is important to make Pakistan understand that India’s tolerance also has a limit.
Prediction of Panchayat elections and Assembly
MLA Rakibuddin Ahmed voted in the second phase of Panchayat elections with his daughter at Fakirpara LP School on Wednesday. During this while talking to the media he said that the Congress party will win the Panchayat elections in Chamaria constituency. He claimed that the Congress will be able to form the government in at least one-third of the district councils in Assam. Three-time MLA Ahmed also expressed confidence about the next assembly elections and said that this time he will win by 1.5 lakh votes. He reminded that the first time he won by 60 thousand votes the second time by 74 thousand votes and the third time by 94 thousand votes.
In this way Rakibuddin Ahmed’s statement not only reflects anger against Pakistan but also brings forth his nationalist stance and the strategic thinking of the Congress party. It is clear from his attitude and confidence that the Congress is now fully prepared to answer the opponents.
