Assam News: Sant Kumar Ghosh described illegal Bangladeshi infiltration as a serious threat to national security.

Assam News: Sant Kumar Ghosh, the central president of the Hindu Dharma Raksha Manch, has termed illegal Bangladeshi infiltration a serious threat to national security and demanded that the central and state governments take strict action. He claimed that more than five crore Bangladeshi infiltrators are present across the country, altering the demographics of the border states. He stated that this is disrupting the social balance and posing a serious threat to national security.

Demographic Changes in Border States

According to Sant Kumar Ghosh, 13 districts in Assam, 5 in West Bengal, 4 in Bihar, and 2 in Jharkhand, all bordering Bangladesh, have become Muslim-majority. In total, there are 24 districts where the Hindu community has been reduced to a minority. He described this as a matter of grave concern for the country, stating that it is affecting the social and cultural balance.

Bangladeshi Infiltrators’ Names Included in NRC List

The Hindu Dharma Raksha Manch has protested against the alleged inclusion of 80 lakh Bangladeshi infiltrators’ names in the National Register of Citizens (NRC) list prepared in Assam. Officials and workers of the organization participated in a protest program organized by the Janhit Party in Guwahati on this issue. A public awareness campaign was conducted at various intersections in Guwahati on December 17, while a memorandum was submitted to the Governor and the Chief Minister on December 18.

Allegations of Fraud Against Tribal Women in Jharkhand

Sant Kumar Ghosh also cited the example of the Santhal Pargana region of Jharkhand, stating that due to illegal infiltration, tribal women are being defrauded through fraudulent marriages, and their land is being encroached upon. He demanded strict action from the administration in this regard. The organization also stated that a review of the NRC list is necessary to remove illegally included names and ensure the protection of genuine citizens.
