Assam government on Friday announced the results for 7,650 Grade III posts under the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) 2025. This move marks a significant milestone in the state’s massive employment plan. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the government is on track to achieve its target of nearly two lakh government appointments during its tenure. Along with the Grade III results, the government also released selection lists for over 600 additional posts across several departments. The CM stated that these results reflect the government’s commitment to merit-based and transparent recruitment.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on social media, “Once again, we have fulfilled our promise of clean, transparent, and merit-based recruitment. With the announcement of the ADRE and other results today, Assam is setting a new benchmark in honesty, fairness, and opportunity.” He further stated that the government’s employment campaign is designed to benefit youth on a large scale. The Chief Minister stated that he had already promised one lakh appointments, and the state is now on track to make nearly two lakh. He stated that the youth of Assam are central to the government’s vision for a “New Assam,” and that their hard work will play a crucial role in the state’s progress.

Departmental Appointments and Number of Candidates

Ajay Tiwari, Chairman of the State Level Recruitment Commission for Assistant Chief Secretary and Grade III posts, informed the press conference that the results are now available on the official recruitment portal. “The results for 7,650 Grade III posts have been declared today, and the selected candidates will be posted in 50 government departments,” he said. The Agriculture Department accounted for the highest number of recruitments, with 1,850 posts, followed by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department with 873 posts and the School Education Department with 581 posts. Tiwari explained that the examination was conducted in September last year in 28 districts, and over 1.7 million candidates participated.

Police Recruitment and Upcoming Results

In addition to the ADRE results, the government has also released the names of candidates selected for 625 police department posts, including sub-inspectors, constables, and Grade IV staff. Ajay Tiwari stated that the results for 5,614 other police posts conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board will be announced on Saturday. Thus, the Assam government’s major employment campaign is rapidly providing government job opportunities to youth and setting an example of transparent and merit-based recruitment in the state.
