Now after so many years, he rode an elephant again at the same place while inaugurating the new bridge.
Worked as a child artist in 1984
CM Sarma said that he had worked as a child artist in the 1984 Assamese film ‘Kokadeuta Nati Aru Hathi’ . In a scene from that film, he was riding an elephant on the Kapili Bridge in Kampur . Now when a new overbridge was built at the same place, he refreshed old memories by sitting on an elephant again on the occasion of inauguration. Sarma wrote on social media, “Perhaps many people do not know that I had played the role of a child artist in a film. In that film, I crossed a bridge sitting on an elephant, and today inaugurated the same bridge in a new form.”
