Assam: BJP has taken a big step to increase its strength in Dima Hasao district. Several senior leaders joined BJP in a ceremony held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, Haflong. The ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa. District President Dhriti Thaosen, Executive Members Donpanen Thaosen and Poudming Riyame, as well as MAC members Nao Daime and Ramgalungbe Zeme were also present at the event. The new leaders were warmly welcomed with traditional rituals and party symbols.
Prominent leaders join BJP
Several prominent leaders decided to become part of BJP on this occasion. These included District Trinamool Congress (TMC) president Aching Zeme, Lathangjoswa Nampuii, TMC district secretary Paunmasulak Newme, Hangaram Mandal president Diluram Joisi and Indian National Congress (INC) Haflong Mandal president. Apart from this, more than 300 of their supporters also joined BJP. Every new member came to the party with his experience and strong connect with the local public.

BJP District President Dhriti Thaosen said that the joining of such experienced leaders will strengthen the organization and deepen the party’s reach in the hill district. He said, “Their joining BJP is a sign of growing faith in our party’s vision. Our aim is to pursue inclusive development, cultural preservation and infrastructure improvement in Dima Hasao.”
