Asaduddin Owaisi's big statement on the roots of terrorism, brought out the truth of ideology and money

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan and said that Pakistan’s strategy of sheltering terrorism spreads instability in South Asia. Owaisi made this statement while addressing the Indian community in Algeria. He had reached there as part of an all-party parliamentary delegation. He clearly said that Pakistan is involved in promoting terrorism and a living example of this is the terrorist Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi imprisoned there. Owaisi said that such actions can pose a threat not only to regional peace but to the entire world.

How Lakhvi became a father while in jail

Owaisi gave the example of special facilities given to Lakhvi in Pakistan. He said, “There was a terrorist named Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi. No country will allow a person facing charges of terrorism to come out and roam around freely even while being in jail. But what happened in Pakistan was that Lakhvi became a father while in jail. When Pakistan was put on the grey list of FATF (Financial Action Task Force), only then the case against him was extended.” Owaisi clearly said that it is very important to put international pressure on Pakistan so that the government there gives up its policy of protecting terrorists.

It is necessary to put Pakistan on the grey list again

Owaisi expressed hope that if Pakistan is again put on the grey list of FATF, then the terrorist incidents in India can be reduced. He warned that this is no longer just a problem of South Asia. Owaisi said, “We are the fourth largest economy. What will happen if such conditions continue? Do you want this bloodshed to spread throughout South Asia? It is in the interest of world peace that Pakistan should be controlled because it is the main sponsor of terrorism. It should be put on the grey list again.” Owaisi also spoke on the relations between India and Algeria

Talking about the roots of terrorism, Owaisi said, “Terrorism survives on two things – ideology and money. You know very well about ideology. You have also seen its dark decades in South Algeria and there are still some problems. We are united on this issue.” Owaisi expressed happiness over the strengthening relations between India and Algeria and said, “We hope that our Prime Minister will visit Algeria very soon and the President of Algeria will come to India. This will be a great step in the right direction.” His statement has raised new hopes regarding the relations between the two countries.
