APSC CCE 2025: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the notification for Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025 on 18th July 2025. This exam is being conducted for 288 posts in Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service and other administrative services of the state. Thousands of candidates participate in this prestigious exam every year, who want to contribute to the society by joining the state service.
Exam Process: Selection will be done in three stages
APSC CCE 2025 exam will be conducted in three stages – Preliminary Examination (Prelims), Mains Examination (Mains) and Interview. The preliminary examination is a screening test, after which the selected candidates can appear in the main examination. After passing the main examination, the last stage is the interview, in which the personality, reasoning and administrative ability of the candidate are examined.
Eligibility, Age Limit and Application Process
To apply for CCE 2025, the candidate must be an Indian citizen and it is mandatory to be a native of Assam. The age of the applicant should be minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years as on 1st January 2024. Relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC/MOBC category, 5 years to SC/ST and 10 years to PwBD category. The candidate must have proficiency in any official language of Assam and must be registered with the employment office. Applications will start from 22nd July 2025 and the last date is 5th August 2025.
Fee and Exam Date
The application fee for APSC CCE 2025 exam has been fixed at ₹297.20 for general category, ₹197.20 for OBC/MOBC and ₹47.20 for SC/ST/BPL/PwBD. The fee can be deposited through online mode by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. The main exam will be held from 11 to 13 October 2025, for which it is important to start preparing from now.
Reservation and distribution of seats
Out of the total 288 posts under CCE 2025, 262 posts are divided among various reserved categories. These include 159 posts for general category, 70 for OBC/MOBC, 17 for SC, 28 for ST(P), 14 for ST(H), 7 for PwBD and 7 for ex-servicemen. This reservation has been implemented as per the policy of the state government.
