Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Assam on a two-day visit. As soon as he reached Guwahati, he first addressed the meeting of the BJP’s core committee at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan. In this meeting, the strategy for the upcoming assembly elections, issues related to the organization and regional political equations were discussed in detail. This visit of Amit Shah is being considered very important in terms of Assam’s politics and development work.
Brahmaputra wing will be inaugurated on Friday
Amit Shah will inaugurate the new Brahmaputra wing of the Raj Bhavan on the second day of his visit i.e. on Friday morning. Along with this, he will also launch the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory, which aims to strengthen cyber security in the north-eastern region. Apart from this, Shah will lay the foundation stone of many more development projects. He will also address the NDA Panchayat Representative Conference and the birth centenary celebrations of former Assam Chief Minister Golap Barbora.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma described Shah’s visit as historic for the state. He said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s guidance has given Assam a new direction of peace and development. We believe that his visit will further strengthen our commitment to serve our people.” The Chief Minister also said that Shah has made a special contribution to the changes that have taken place in Assam in the past years and this visit will give new energy to the state.
Discussion on strategy for assembly elections
According to sources, the strategy for the upcoming assembly elections was specially considered in the BJP’s core committee meeting. In the meeting, it was decided in which direction the party has to move forward at the organizational level and in which areas strengthening is needed. The party leadership believes that under the guidance of Amit Shah, the election preparations will get a new edge and the structure of the organization will be strengthened further. This visit to Guwahati can prove to be important not only from the political point of view but also on the development and security front.
