When Pakistan attacked in 1948, the local Kashmiris fought them for three days. Our soldiers arrived three days later. The truth is that Kashmiris are not used to living without India. Javed Akhtar further said, “Pakistan’s propaganda proves that the hearts of Kashmiris are with India. 90 to 99% of Kashmiris are loyal to India. Those who beat up a Kashmiri student should understand that they are supporting the propaganda of Pakistan’s army. If you consider a Kashmiri a Pakistani, you are becoming a part of Pakistan’s propaganda. This mistake should not be made. Every Kashmiri should get complete security in any part of India. They should feel that they are ours, we are their brothers and no one can do anything to them.”
