Assam: CRPF jawan Biplab Chhetri, a resident of Golia village in Biswanath district of Assam, had hoped to spend some time with his family after coming to him on May 5, 2025. Biplab, who joined the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in 2017, was posted in Manipur for some time. This time he came home to meet his wife and aged parents. He hoped that he would be able to spend a few days peacefully with his family.
Biplab returned after leave was canceled
However, Biplab’s dream of returning home was soon shattered. Due to infiltration into the Indian border by Pakistan and increasing military tension, the Indian Army and Paramilitary forces canceled all leaves. Biplab was called back to Jammu and Kashmir within a few days. After meeting his family, he again got the responsibility to return to the war front.
Family’s pride and concern
Bipla’s father Gopal Chhetri proudly said, “We have trained him for this work. We sent him to CRPF so that when the country is in danger, he stands on the front. The country has been attacked and our sons have gone to protect it. We are worried as parents, but most of all we feel proud of our son. We trust him and our army completely.”
Bipla’s mother Meera Chhetri quietly gave her son homemade food for the journey and said, “He came home after a long time, but now he has to go again. I only pray for his safety and the safety of all the soldiers who protect us.”
Wife also supported
Bipla’s wife also gave him courage and appreciated her husband’s bravery. She knew that her husband’s duty is towards the country, and despite the family’s concern, she was ready to send Bipla on his mission. Biplab’s family not only expressed their concern but also supported and encouraged him for the security of the country.
In these difficult times, the strength of soldiers like Biplab Chhetri and the support of his family makes the countrymen feel that we are all united. The bravery and sacrifice of such soldiers always inspire us, and we salute them.
