Voting for the first phase of the Assembly elections in West Bengal has concluded The BJP appears pleased with the heavy voter turnout witnessed during this initial phase. The Trinamool Congress however has dismissed this as a fake narrative and has raised questions regarding the role of the Election Commission Amidst this backdrop political activity in Bengal is now intensifying ahead of the second and final phase of voting. On Saturday April 25 BJP National President Nitin Navin participated in a roadshow in Baranagar.
A massive crowd of people was witnessed at BJP President Nitin Navins roadshow in Baranagar. BJP workers welcomed him by garlanding him with flowers. During the event Nitin Navin made scathing remarks regarding the Aam Aadmi Partys (AAP) National Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Speaking to the news agency ANI Nitin Navin commented on Arvind Kejriwal campaigning in West Bengal today stating What moral obligation remains to campaign for a leader towards whom there is no longer any public appeala leader whose corruption has left the entire nation fed up He added Now there are even more political maneuvers to come.
Referring to the possibility of Raghav Chadha and two thirds of the Aam Aadmi Partys Rajya Sabha MPs joining the BJP the BJP National President remarked Who would want to board a sinking ship He further asserted The TMC will collapse just as the Aam Aadmi Party has the opposition camp is on the verge of total disintegration
Voting for 152 seats took place during the first phase of the elections in West Bengal. Voting for the remaining 142 seats is scheduled for April 29. The high voter turnout in the first phase serves to energize those preparing to cast their votes in the second phase. Consequently a high voter turnout is anticipated in the second phase of the West Bengal elections as well.
