Assam CM Announces Massive 55000Rahul Gandhi Accuses Modi of Hidden Agenda Behind Women Reservation Bill Controversy Jobs and Big Industrial Investment Push

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a strong political offensive on Saturday, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of misleading the nation over the Women’s Reservation Bill. Addressing election rallies in Tamil Nadu, Gandhi alleged that the bill was being used as a political distraction from a larger plan involving delimitation and restructuring of parliamentary constituencies. He claimed the alleged strategy resembled earlier changes he referred to as the “Assam and Jammu and Kashmir model,” warning that it could have long-term implications for India’s federal structure.

Allegations of Electoral Manipulation and Attack on NDA Allies in Tamil Nadu

While beginning his campaign for the April 23 Assembly elections, Gandhi also targeted NDA ally All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, alleging that the party was functioning as a proxy for the BJP. He claimed that the central leadership intended to install a compliant Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu who would act under directives from Delhi without resistance. Gandhi also alleged that corruption had weakened the opposition party in the state. Speaking at a rally in Tiruchirappalli, he further asserted that the BJP’s political objective was to remove DMK chief M. K. Stalin from power and replace him with leadership more aligned to its interests.

Claims of Delimitation Strategy and Threat to Federal Structure

Gandhi intensified his criticism by focusing on delimitation and constitutional amendments, alleging that the central government was using such measures to alter the distribution of parliamentary seats. He claimed that similar processes had already been implemented in Assam and Jammu and Kashmir and warned of a nationwide extension. According to him, these changes would disproportionately affect southern, smaller, and northeastern states, thereby weakening India’s federal structure. He also accused the government of presenting the Women’s Reservation Bill as a reform for gender equality while allegedly pursuing a hidden agenda to reshape political representation across states.

Tamil Nadu Identity, BJP-RSS Agenda, and Election Pitch

During his speeches in Ranipet and Ponneri, Gandhi argued that the BJP-RSS alliance was attempting to erode constitutional values and regional identities, particularly targeting Tamil language, culture, and traditions. He said the upcoming Assembly election was crucial in preventing the BJP from expanding its influence in Tamil Nadu. Gandhi reiterated his personal connection with the state, citing historical ties of his family and pledging to represent Tamil Nadu’s interests at the national level. He also made controversial political remarks linking global leaders and internal party strategies, while the Union government dismissed unrelated allegations as baseless. The Congress, part of the DMK-led alliance, is contesting 28 seats in the upcoming election.
