Fans are incredibly excited about Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayan. Everyone is eager to learn every detail about the film. This anticipation has only increased since the release of the movie’s first look.
The teaser gave us our first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Ram. Yash also appeared as Ravana, but his face wasn’t revealed. Fans have been eager to witness a fierce battle between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. However, the recent update from Yash about the movie may disappoint his fans.
Ramayana will be released in two parts.
Ramayan will be released in two parts. The first part will be released this year in 2026 on the occasion of Diwali, while the second part will be released next year on the occasion of Diwali. Now, Yash has revealed that he and Ranbir will not face each other in the first part of Ramayan.
Yash recently attended CinemaCon to promote “Ramayana” with Namit Malhotra. During the event, he revealed that he and Ranbir Kapoor will not be seen together in the first part. They will not be facing off. He also explained the reason for this.
How was the relationship between Ranbir and Yash on the set?
Yash was asked about his relationship with Ranbir Kapoor on set and how they interacted. Yash replied, “Interestingly, we haven’t appeared on screen together in this film. As you all know, the film will be released in two parts, so in the first part, I feel like I have my own kingdom as Ravana, and Ram has his own kingdom.”
Yash added, “But yes, we’ve met a few times, and Ranbir is a truly brilliant actor. We have a good understanding. When you set out to create something as ambitious and extraordinary as ‘Ramayana,’ we all have the same goal: to present the story in the best possible way. I think we have similar visions, so there’s no problem with coordination. We’re enjoying it.”
Ramayan has been made on a massive budget of ₹4,000 crore. AR Rahman and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer have collaborated for the first time for this project.
Ram-Sita costumes kept for showcase
It’s worth noting that the costumes of Rama, Sita, and Ravana were also unveiled to the world at CinemaCon 2026. This is the first time an Indian mythological story has been presented on such a large global scale.
