PM Narendra Modi said on Monday that while his government carried out “Operation Sindoor,” the Congress party has consistently “danced to Pakistan’s tune.” This ties with Pakistan always jeopardizes the country’s security, and we can never allow that to happen.
PM Modi said, ” Congress always took short-term steps with a narrow vision so that it could indulge in corruption. But the BJP thinks much further ahead while taking decisions for the all-round development of all sections of society.”
‘Congress danced to Pakistan’s tune’
Addressing election rallies in Barpeta, Hojai and Dibrugarh in Assam, PM Modi alleged that be it the surgical strike of 2016 or Operation Sindoor of 2025, Congress has always danced to the tune of Pakistan and given importance to their agenda.
Accusing the Congress party of neglecting the armed forces, he said it did not implement the One Rank, One Pension (OROP) scheme for ex-servicemen for decades. The BJP government, on the other hand, ensured justice to those who defended the country and provided them with this benefit.
PM accused Gandhi family of indulging in dynastic politics and corruption
The Prime Minister said, “The first family of Congress is the most corrupt family in the country; they have been involved in massive scams and are currently out on bail. Congress can do only two things – lying and corruption.”
Taking an indirect dig at Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, for his “shop of love” remark, Modi said the Congress represents a “shop of lies” and “insult.” There’s another family in Assam… and both are making false promises before the elections. PM Modi was referring to Rahul Gandhi’s deputy in the Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, who is also the Assam Congress president.
The Prime Minister said, “Congress alleges that the BJP takes away land from people, but they don’t talk about the prime plots of land in Delhi that they own in the names of National Herald, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and others. The BJP acquired land for the development of the state, which has benefited all sections of society.”

- 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament will be implemented from the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
