Congress Roars in Assam: Rahul Gandhi Frames the Battle as Unity vs. Hatred

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally in support of party candidate Ratan Ingti in the Bokajan assembly constituency on Thursday. He attacked Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, citing singer Zubin Garg. Rahul Gandhi said, “Zubin Garg helped everyone. He respected everyone. He always spoke about unity and brotherhood. Everyone who went to him returned happy. His ideology was the antithesis of Himanta Sarma’s.”

Rahul Gandhi said, “This election in Assam is a contest between the ideologies of Zubin Garg and Himanta Biswa Sarma. On one side there is love, unity, brotherhood, and respect, while on the other side there is hatred, violence, corruption, and arrogance. Support the Congress party, and we will form a government here that will work for the poor. We will form a government that will run from Assam, for Assam.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma betrayed everyone

The Congress MP launched a scathing attack on Assam Chief Minister Sarma. He alleged that Himanta Biswa Sarma has betrayed everyone he has worked with. He said that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa is the most corrupt Chief Minister in the country. He, in collusion with PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is running a land ATM in Assam. Biswa is snatching land from ordinary people and giving it to big industrialists.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa is spreading hatred

Rahul Gandhi said, “Assam is the land of personalities like Shankar Dev ji, Jyoti Prasad Agarwal ji, Bhupen Hazarika ji, Tarun Gogoi ji, and Zubin Garg ji. All of them had the spirit of Assam within them. They all spoke the same message: unite people, eliminate hatred, and spread love. This thinking is deeply rooted in Assam. Uniting people and respecting them is at the heart of Assam. But Chief Minister Biswa is spreading hatred. He is intimidating people.”
