Singer Mika Singh is a well-known star today. He has carved a special place in the hearts of his fans with his singing. Songs like “Aaj Ki Party” and “Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag” became huge hits. Now, Mika Singh lives a luxurious life and is surrounded by numerous bodyguards. However, there was a time when his current bodyguard refused to work with him, calling him a struggler.
Filmmaker Farah Khan recently visited Mika Singh’s farmhouse in Delhi. In Farah’s video, Mika introduced his bodyguard, Kartar .
He said, “This is Kartar Bhai.” When Kartar bent down to touch Farah’s feet, Mika jokingly said, “He’s not decent at all. When I met him 30 years ago, I said, ‘You’re tall and broad, will you be my bodyguard?’ He said, ‘You should start working first? You’re struggling yourself.'”
Farah then asked Kartar if he really said that, and Kartar nodded. Mika continued, “Yes, Kartar really did say that. Usually, guys act to impress girls. In my case, I worked hard and built a successful career so I could hire Kartar as my bodyguard.”
Mika used to play tabla in the gurudwara
Mika also shared how his family supported him in his journey. He said, “My father used to sing kirtans at the gurdwara and he loved music. Most singers in Punjab typically receive training there. They learn Gurbani and pick ragas. I used to play tabla in kirtans. It’s Waheguru’s blessing that we’ve reached this far. At that time, I thought that when I earn a lot of money, I’ll definitely build a gurdwara.” Mika has built a gurdwara on his farmhouse. His property also has a temple.
