More heat is expected in India in the coming months

More heat is expected in India between April and June. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that more heat and heatwave days can be seen in the northwestern plains along with the central and eastern parts of India during this period. Along with this, the maximum temperature is likely to remain above normal.

This year, summer has already started in India. Compared to last year, heatwaves have arrived much earlier in 2025. Temperatures have reached 35 degrees Celsius in many parts in the month of March itself. Keeping in mind the impact of this heat, the government has advised hospitals to remain alert so that problems like heatstroke can be dealt with.
