The updated schedule for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board exams has been made public by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For administrative reasons, the board had already postponed the Class 10 and 12 exams that were supposed to take place on March 3, 2026. As stated by the CBSE, “The examinations for the subjects of Class 10 and Class 12 that were previously scheduled for March 3, 2026, have been postponed due to administrative reasons.” The Class 10 exam will now take place on March 11, 2026, while the Class 12 exam will take place on April 10, 2026, according to the updated schedule. The updated schedule is available for students to read and download on the board’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
When will the regional and foreign language papers be held?
The Class 10 regional and foreign language papers (Tibetan, Bhoti, Bhutia, Bodo, Tangkhul, Mizo, Kashmiri, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Bahasa Melayu), as well as academic electives including Elements of Book Keeping and Accountancy, are scheduled to take place on March 11. On April 10, the Class 12 Legal Studies paper will take place. Next year, from February 17 to July 15, 2026, the Class 10 exams will be held in two stages for the first time. CBSE Class 12 Exam New Schedule
Exams for Class 12 will take place from February 17 to April 9. There will be two shifts for the exams: 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Key dates for the key topics:
