The police somehow managed to escort Thalapathy Vijay through the crowd and tried to control the thousands of people who had gathered.
Thalapathy falls amidst the chaos
Not only that, amidst this massive crowd of fans, Thalapathy Vijay lost his balance and slipped and fell. However, thankfully, he did not sustain any injuries. Vijay, the president of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and a popular actor, arrived at Chennai airport on Sunday night after attending the audio launch event of his film ‘Jan Nayakan’ in Malaysia. As he moved towards the exit of the airport, a large number of fans surged forward to catch a glimpse of him. The crowd suddenly became uncontrollable, causing a commotion near his vehicle for some time. During this chaos, Vijay lost his balance and fell to the ground just before reaching his car.
How he got out of the crowd
The security personnel present at the scene immediately took control of the situation, helped him up, and safely escorted him to his car. The entire incident was over in a few seconds, and the situation was quickly brought under control. It is reported that Vijay is completely safe and did not sustain any injuries. This incident occurred when Vijay returned from Kuala Lumpur, where he had participated in the grand audio launch of his latest film. Some TV reports also claimed that one of the vehicles in Vijay’s convoy met with a minor accident inside the airport premises. Earlier, on December 27, Vijay addressed a massive gathering at the ‘Jan Nayakan’ audio launch event held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Approximately one lakh people were reportedly present at the event, leading the Malaysian Book of Records to declare it the record for the largest audience at an audio launch event in Malaysia. From this platform, Vijay also shared an important update about his future. He reiterated his decision to step away from cinema to focus on public life and politics.
Vijay Delivers Emotional Speech
In his emotional speech, Vijay said that when he started his film career, he felt like he was building a small sandcastle, but his fans had built a palace and a fortress for him. He also stated that he was bidding farewell to cinema out of respect and love for his fans.
