JEE Main 2026 Alert: If you are appearing for the JEE Main 2026 exam or someone in your family is, then this is very important news for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification. This notification is for those students who used identity documents such as a PAN Card, Indian Passport, or Non-Indian Passport while filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form. They now need to upload another document before January 7th, and this is mandatory. Let’s tell you which document it is and how to upload it.
Which document to upload and how?
First, let’s tell you about the additional document that needs to be uploaded by January. Candidates need to upload a ‘Photo Verification Certificate’ which must be signed by their principal. Candidates must first log in to jeemain.nta.nic.in using their JEE Main 2026 application number and password, and then download the certificate from there.
After doing this, they need to fill in all the required information and affix a recent passport-size photograph. Then, the candidate must get the certificate signed by their school or college principal or headmaster. Once this is done, they need to scan it and upload it as a PDF document via the link provided through the JEE Main candidate login before January 7th.
Also, note this important information
There are two more important pieces of information you need to know. First, you must ensure that the signature is placed in such a way that it is visible on both the form and the photograph. Also, the candidate must carry the original copy of this verification certificate to their exam center on the day of the exam, where it will be checked.
