SSC Guidelines Update: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important update on the format of disability certificates to be submitted by Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) for upcoming and ongoing recruitment examinations. This amendment is in line with the new guidelines issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) on October 16, 2024. A circular has been issued in this regard.
Under the updated system, the disability certificate structure has been divided into two categories, replacing the three-form model previously used by the Commission. The SSC has also clarified that candidates appearing for examinations notified after October 16, 2024, will be allowed to submit either the revised format or the previous version, to ensure that no applicant is affected during the transition period.
The new structure includes
- Form V: Disability Certificate for Single Disability
- Form VI: Disability Certificate for Multiple Disabilities
