The Assam Police has declared the results for constable posts for various departments. Candidates can now check their selection status by visiting the official website, slprbassam.in. The PDF released contains the roll numbers of the selected candidates. These candidates have been selected to work in the Assam Police, APRO, Fire and Emergency Services, DGCD & CGHG, and Prisons Department.
How many posts have the results been declared?
According to the official notice, the Assam SLRC has declared the results for Constable (UB) for 1,645 posts and Constable (AB) for 2,300 posts. Additionally, the result for one Constable (UB) in APRO has also been declared. The results for 114 Constable (UB) and one Constable (AB) backlog posts under the Hills Tribe category have also been released.

Candidates must visit the official website, slprbassam.in. Click on the SLPRB/REC/SI (UB)/646/2023/181Result link on the homepage. On the new page, enter the application number, candidate’s name, and date of birth, enter the captcha, and click the download button. The result will open on the screen. Candidates can download and print it.
Procedure and Important Information
The selection process for the Assam Police Constable involved several stages. These included the Common Written Test (CWT), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade Proficiency Test (TPT), viva voce, and practical tests such as swimming and boating. Candidates participated in these stages according to their applied department.
Results for Other Prison Department Posts
Results have also been announced for the Prison Department, which includes positions such as nurse, laboratory technician, teacher, craft instructor, and tractor operator. It is noteworthy that as per the order of the Guwahati High Court, some 202 posts have been kept vacant till the related writ petitions are disposed of.
