The 13-day-long funeral rites of renowned Assamese singer Zubin Garg were held today at the Jorhat Stadium. Garima Garg also reacted to the arrests of Shyam Kanu and Siddhartha. She said, “We can never get that person back, what Assam has lost can never be compensated. We must be told the reason for the humiliating treatment meted out to Zubin Garg after he was taken to Singapore.” Stressing the need for a swift and transparent investigation, she said, “The investigation must begin properly. We must know the full truth. This is deeply disturbing. We demand a fast-track investigation and will fully cooperate.”
Message of Emotions and Appeal
During the funeral, Garima Garg also said, “I will always be in my husband’s place for you. Even though Zubin is no more, I am your daughter-in-law. I want people not to abandon me.
