Abhinav Shukla: Most actors and actresses working in the TV industry dream of working on the big screen, especially in a big-budget film. But this opportunity doesn’t come easily to everyone. Such was the case with TV actor Abhinav Shukla. He had the opportunity to work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Inshallah,” starring superstars Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. Unfortunately, the film was never made, and Abhinav’s dream remained unfulfilled. He recently expressed his regret.
Abhishek Shukla shares his feelings
Abhinav Shukla, husband of TV actress Rubina Dilaik, revealed that he auditioned for Inshallah, but at the time, he didn’t know that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was making the film. When he was called to meet the filmmaker, he was extremely nervous. Abhinav said, “When I arrived, I saw only a few people present. It was a significant role, apart from Salman and Alia. I was nervous because I’d heard that Bhansali is very strict on set.” He also explained that he was very careful with what he said to avoid any mistakes.
Received the news of his selection, but his dream was shattered
Abhinav further explained that he was in Dubai when he learned that his audition was successful and he had been selected for the film. At that time, his wife, Rubina Dilaik, expressed her happiness and said, “Baby, it was my dream too to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Now at least you’ll get a chance to visit the set.” But when everything was finalized, the calls suddenly stopped. Abhinav said, “One day I called the EP (Executive Producer), and he said we’ll let you know. The next day, the news came that the film wasn’t being made. I thought I’d lost the Bhansali film, but it’s okay.”
Abhinav’s Current Journey
Although Abhinav Shukla still regrets not being able to make Inshallah, he has accepted it as a part of life. He is currently appearing with his wife Rubina Dilaik in the couples reality show “Pati, Patni Aur Panga.” His hard work and dedication continue, from TV to reality shows. Abhinav believes that opportunities can arise anytime and anywhere. While Inshallah may have slipped away, his fans are hopeful that he will soon be seen in a strong role on the big screen.
