Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Haridwar on Sunday and offered prayers at the Narayani Shila Temple on the auspicious occasion of Pitru Amavasya. The Chief Minister said that he visits Haridwar every year on Pitru Amavasya and was fortunate to visit this year as well. He told reporters, “I try to visit Haridwar every year on Pitru Amavasya. This year too, I decided to visit and offer prayers at the Narayani Shila Temple. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to come here today.”

15-Day Program for PM Modi’s 75th Birthday

Earlier, on September 17, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a 15-day program across the state to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. As part of this program, 26,000 health check-up camps will be set up in Assam. The Chief Minister said that these camps will conduct health check-ups for women and blood donation camps will also be organized.

Women will benefit under the Arunodaya Scheme

The Chief Minister told reporters that financial assistance will also be provided to women during this period. According to him, “Three lakh women will be covered under the Arunodaya Scheme. We will organize health check-up camps as well as blood donation camps. In addition, financial assistance will be provided to budding writers and the ‘One Tree for a Mother’ program will also be promoted.” The scheme aims to promote health and social development in Assam.

Praise for Prime Minister Modi

Himanta Biswa Sarma also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that PM Modi is a matter of pride for the country and is continuously moving towards making India a developed nation. The Chief Minister said, “It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. It is a matter of pride for us that our Prime Minister is continuously serving the country and moving towards making India a developed nation. The Prime Minister has done a lot for the people of Assam.”

Seva Pakhwada and Public Welfare

The Chief Minister stated that during this 15-day program, a massive health camp will be organized in every assembly constituency. Blood donation camps and other social welfare programs will also be organized as part of Seva Pakhwada. This initiative will not only improve the health sector but will also support women and budding writers. This program will provide an opportunity for health and well-being for the people of Assam.
