Telugu cinema superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is in the news these days for his upcoming film ‘Akhand 2’. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film was earlier scheduled to release on 25 September 2025 on the occasion of Dussehra, but now it seems that the audience will have to wait a little longer. The makers of the film recently shared the information about the postponement of its release date through a post on social media. In this post, he also told the reason for the delay of the film.
Release delayed due to post production
The makers of ‘Akhand 2’ in a statement released on their official social media handles said that the release date of the film has been postponed from September 25. The post read, “Akhand 2 brings back the blockbuster duo consisting of Mass Deity Nandamuri Balakrishna and Director Boyapati Srinu, who have given new dimensions to mass action entertainment in Telugu cinema.” However, the new release date of the film has not been revealed yet.
The makers further added that “a film of this scale requires a lot of attention in re-recording, VFX and the entire post-production process. After the blockbuster success of the first part, the expectations attached to ‘Akhanda 2’ require extra time to present the film in the best form.” He also added that the entire team is working day and night to ensure that the film delivers the best experience for the audience.
