Emphasis on Conducting Fair and Smooth Examinations in 2026

Vice-Chairman Baruah stressed the critical need for conducting the 2026 final examinations in a free and fair manner. He urged heads of institutions and examination centre in-charges to be vigilant, offering practical suggestions such as timely collection of question papers from police stations, accurate verification of question paper subjects and quantities, and careful handling and storage of sealed cartons. He further insisted that students should never be allowed to sit for exams in subjects not listed on their admit cards and attendance sheets, underscoring the essential role of thorough invigilator training.

Strict Instructions Against Examination Irregularities

The programme also addressed observed irregularities in some examination centres, where subject teachers were found occupied with attendance recording or other technical tasks during examinations. Gohain Baruah warned against such practices, emphasizing that they violate instructions and can lead to serious consequences. He called for strict adherence to examination protocols to maintain integrity and discipline during the examination process, reinforcing the Board’s commitment to a transparent and credible system.

Career Guidance Session Adds Value to the Programme

In addition to academic discussions, a career guidance session was conducted by Ankit Paul, a representative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. This session aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance to students and educators alike, helping them make informed career decisions. The overall programme was efficiently managed by School Inspector Prabhat Das and Regional Secretary of ASSEB, Biswanath, Bedabrat Bora, marking a significant step toward enhancing educational quality and examination transparency in the district.
